The Streaming Giant Selects Spot-On Star for Bon Clay in One Piece Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is set to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t take place until season 3, and a beloved, popular member has now been chosen.
Netflix announced this week that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Mr. 2. Bon Clay can use their power to transform into an perfect replica of any individual they’ve made contact with with their main hand. The actor, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that figure reinterpreted as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action show, as in the source material and cartoon version.
The new cast member will work alongside several other recently announced actors who will portray the organization to the screen, including chief Mr. 0, played by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the cast as the ruler of the desert kingdom.
Though this character is a major member of Baroque Works, the character won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Given the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this marks a significant shift in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest more adjustments to the plot development.
The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the role. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.
The platform’s adapted One Piece show is due to premiere for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
