Former Doctor Accused of Sexual Assault Allegations Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities report that a ex- doctor now faces charges for carrying out sexual assaults against 38 victims who were patients.
Details of the Grave Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous sexual offences – including acts against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.
One deputy chief CPS official commented, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Investigation
These allegations follow what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the forty-five charges he is charged with:
- 15 counts of assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
