Enormous Excitement Yet a Considerable Wager: Battlefield's Latest Takes Aim At Its Rival Series
"A New Challenger Has Emerged."
Across the extremely cutthroat arena of video games, it's usual for fresh competitors to fade away as quickly as they burst on to the landscape.
But this new installment is hoping to alter that.
This is the most recent addition in a established combat FPS franchise often positioned as a more authentic answer to its main competitor.
This game has not quite been able to equal its top competitor in regards of sales or user base, but there are signs the new installment could narrow the difference.
A trial event enabling users a chance to try out the title not long ago broke records, and the excitement leading up to its release has been huge.
But the project is still a significant gamble for company its creators, which has reportedly invested huge sums of money developing it.
We have communicated to some of the developers to find out how they aim it will succeed.
Development Group and Company Cooperation
A total of four teams are working on the title under the Battlefield Studios umbrella.
Among them are original series developer the original team, located in Sweden, California's Motive developers and Ripple Effect Studios in Canada.
The fourth, the UK studio, is based in England.
Rebecka Coutaz is the studio head of the two European teams, and tells our team that, in respect of what it's delivering users, "this new game is likely unmatched."
Building On Previous Shortcomings
The new release follows the back of the futuristic Battlefield 2042, released in the past to a unfavorable reception it had difficulty to overcome.
"It's likely that we would find it impossible to make and develop this new game without the insights we gained in the previous title," she tells our team.
Among those lessons was to get players involved from the start, and the studio launched closed community testing sessions in recent months.
Their "feedback was explosively encouraging," states Rebecka.
A further absent ingredient from Battlefield 2042 was a solo experience, which has been brought back for this release.
The Guildford team project head Fasahat "Fas" Salim is the person tasked with "guaranteeing those stages are as entertaining and compelling as feasible for the audience."
Despite claims that the scale of the project had created pressure for the multiple studios partnering across continents to create the title, he is positive about the process.
"Working with diverse cultures, different backgrounds, it's a really interesting setting to be engaged with daily," he shares.
"This whole approach has been a fresh take but also really exciting because we are collaborating with people from around the globe."
Concerning the pressure on the crew, he states: "There is pressure but at the same time it's thrilling.
"This is a large venture. It's arguably the biggest that many of us have ever participated in."
Emerging Developer Brings Innovative View
That's definitely accurate of at least a single team member, VFX specialist Vlad Kokhan.
The 21-year-old produces the atmospheric effects that define the atmosphere, style, and direction of the solo experience.
The artist finished an internship at Criterion before securing a position at the company, and now operates with reduced hours while concluding his visual effects degree at his school.
He says he's a long-standing enthusiast of the Battlefield series, and recalls experiencing the fourth instalment of the series at a friend's house when he was younger.
To be on it now, as his initial career position, "seems unreal actual."
"It's very incredible witnessing the promotion in many places," he comments.
"Realizing that I have contributed my personal touch into the project is really unbelievable."
Launch Predictions and Long-Term Strategies
